Historic East Portland – NEW!

The intersection of SE Grand Ave and SE Morrison St was the historic center of downtown East Portland. Incorporated in 1870, the city of East Portland was an independent municipality until 1891. The construction of the Morrison Bridge in 1887, the first in the city, provided an incentive to consolidate with Portland.
On this narrated walking tour we’ll view some of the most architecturally and historically significant buildings of old East Portland. These surviving buildings include include two fraternal lodges, a funeral home, a telephone exchange and East Portland’s first skyscraper.
Easy urban walk of less than two miles taking about 2 hours.
